New Clarity is a 3-piece punk band hailing from Frederick, Maryland. They are often remembered for their energetic, hard hitting performances. The band consists of guitarist and vocalist Michael Godsey, drummer Lewis Long, and bassist Aidan Twentey.

The band started when one day Lewis and Michael decided to collaborate. The two hit it off and found a powerful synergy between their writing styles. Soon enough, they were recording demos out of Lewis’ bedroom studio, many of which became the base for their self-made debut EP titled “When We Lose Our Heads”, which released in April 2023.

Their EP was a hit, with many describing it as a unique blend of their favorite genres. Soon after the release of the EP, Aidan, a well known bassist from the local music scene, joined the team. Since then, the band has been playing shows all around the DMV area and they have big plans for the future…
